Day
1:
At 7am you will be picked up at
your hotel, the trip goes to Janjanbureh, officially this city is called Georgetown.
For the journey of 250 km we will need with the minivan approx. 5 hours.
During the slave trade,
Janjanbureh was a slave market, the ruin of the slavery market is still visible today.
On the way we make some breaks to refresh ourselves and get drinks.
The lush vegetation of Janjanbureh extends to the banks of the river.
Our accommodation is located directly on the Gambiariver. Although the accommodation is simple standard, toilets and showers are however available.
Lunch is served at 2 pm.
At 5:00 pm we will go to the waterfalls of Wassu.
On the way back we visit a typical village in the area.
We will have dinner around 20:00.

Day 2:
We start the day at 7am with tea or coffee, then we make a short city tour
through Georgetown.
Breakfast is served at 08:00.
After breakfast we make a 4-hour boat trip around Macharty Island. We visit the creek around the island of Panton where you can see fantastic birds.
Finally, we look at the rice fields of the locals before we return.
